This month, we have a lot of news to share with you!
Happy One Year of Book Buddies to Emily! We celebrate this month one year of books, reading, and dogs with Emily, in our Book Buddies reading program. Thank you, Emily, for attending the Book Buddies reading program for one year and sharing books with the Book Buddies! The Book Buddies truly enjoyed your reading to them. (Pictured here, Emily is reading to Book Buddy Opal.)
Meet Terrie and Lily! Last month, you’ve met Patti and Maximus. This month, please allow us to introduce you to Terrie and Lily. We’re so pleased for Terrie and Lily to join the Book Buddies. Lily’s quiet and supportive nature is very encouraging for our young readers.
Lily is from Seville, Spain. She is a Galgo, a Spanish sighthound, Terrie rescued when she learned of their dire plight. Lily is now living the good life with Terrie.
Favorite activity: Digging tunnels. Lily is an expert tunnel digger. If you need some digging, Lily is your dog!
Favorite season: The transitional ones, between summer and winter
Favorite way to relax: Snuggling with her Mom, Terrie
Favorite book genre: Action books, especially ones with chase scenes!
Nickname: Lily’s full name is Princess Tigger Lily, but she goes by her nickname, Lily. She is also known as Lily Beans, Bubba, and Nutter Butter Sandwich Cookie
The Book Buddies Reading Program takes place…

THANK YOU to the Taradiddle Judges for their time, dedication, and special consideration in selecting the finalists for the Taradiddle Youth Writing Contest #4. It is never an easy task – as there are always so many good stories to read! Read the Taradiddle stories of past contest finalists here .
Our pets do so much for us. They keep us in good company, they can lower stress and anxiety, they help us make friends, they improve our immune system, and they encourage play, among so many other benefits. Please stay tuned for future articles on what we can do to make our pets and other animals happy, too.
