Happy One Year of Book Buddies to Charlie! This past Saturday, we celebrated one year of books, reading, and dogs with Charlie, in our Book Buddies Reading Program. Thank you, Charlie, for sharing books with the Book Buddies for one year! It's been a fun year. The Book Buddies truly enjoy your reading to them. Meet Patti and Maximus! Last month, you've met Missy and Koda. This month, please meet Patti and Maximus! Patti and Maximus are excited to join the Book Buddies reading program.

Age: a little over 2.5 years old. Maximus' birthday is in February!
Type of Dog: Golden Retriever
Family members: Max calls two dogs and two Amazon parrots, Patti's four sons and husband, and Patti family.
Favorite treat: Liver treats!
Favorite trick: Spin! (Spin is defined as going in a tight circle in one spot.)
Favorite activity: Going for a walk.

Nickname: Max and Ru Ru. When Max was a puppy, he never barked. Instead, he made adorable noises that sounded like, "roo roo." Ever since then, he's been known as Ru Ru!
The Book Buddies Reading Program takes place...
every second Saturday of the month at City Dog Vet Clinic (1004 East Washington Ave. in Madison) from 9:30 - 11:25 am. Reserve a free 20-minute reading session here .
AND... every second Wednesday at Valor (for residents only) from 5-7 pm. Reserve a 20-minute reading spot by email, by calling/texting (608) 886-8849, or just stop by! (November's reading program has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 1.
