Thank you for joining us for another year of youth literacy programs, filled with books, dogs, a guinea pig, reading, storytelling, and writing fun animal stories!
Taradiddle Youth Writing Contest #5 has begun!
We kicked off our fifth writing contest for young people 18 years and younger last Thursday. We emailed the first clue about the animal in Contest #5. Every Thursday, we will email a clue until we email the writing prompt on Thursday, March 14. Encourage a young writer or animal lover to sign up! All stories are about animals. Find more info at https://taradiddle.org .
The Book Buddies Reading Program takes place…
every second Saturday of the month at City Dog Vet Clinic (1004 East Washington Ave. in Madison) from 9:30 – 11:25 am. Reserve a free 20-minute reading session here . Spots are still available in December!
Our reading program at Valor is on a temporary hold for now, until further notice!
TIPS for HAPPY Pets & Wildlife!
During these cold winter months, bring joy to the birds in your neighborhood by feeding them suet. This is an excellent way to provide birds with great nutrition, a quick source of energy, and easy feeding. Meanwhile, you can enjoy an easy and affordable way to observe a variety of birds – right from your window!
Here is a fun and easy project to turn secondhand materials and found objects into suet feeders.
Do you have an animal (pet or wildlife) tip to share?
